Name: Will & Shanna Fellows
Will Fellows was born in 1958 in Bozeman, Montana. He first heard the gospel when he was 19 years old and accepted Christ as his Savior at age 23. He married his wife, Shanna, in 1982 and they lived in Manhattan, Montana until 1989 when they moved to Portland, Oregon to attend Multnomah School of the Bible which he graduated from in 1993. During their time at Multnomah, God called Will and Shanna to missions.
During his first year at school he attended a missions conference and it opened his eyes to what God was doing around the world. At the second year's conference, an Irish friend put a bug in his ear about missions in Ireland. At the third year mission conference, Will and Shanna committed themselves to mission work.
In 1995, they went to Southern Ireland and worked with World Missions Fellowship in camp ministry and church planting. They spent five years in Ireland at which time the Lord called them back to the States to pastor a church in Clyde Park, Montana. At the time of their departure from Ireland a church had been planted and the camp ministry was doing well.
Will pastored Shields Valley Bible Church in Montana for six years before taking the position of Missions Director at Frontier School of the Bible (FSB) in LaGrange, Wyoming. Will and Shanna have been ministering at Frontier School of the Bible since August of 2006. Will is the Administrator of the FSB Missions Department, teaches classes on missions, oversees AMOOK (Advancing Missions On Our Knees), directs the Wednesday night services at the school, organizes the School mission conferences, and takes teams of students on short-term mission trips. They have two boys, Caleb and Joshua.
It was during Will’s pastorate at Shields Valley Bible Church that he became aware of Tentmakers Bible Mission. The church supported a TBM Missionary family who was planting a church in Tremonton, Utah. After being called to FSB, he became more familiar with Tentmakers through TBM Mission Conference speakers. He also began to meet TBM Board Members and understand their philosophy of ministry. He was very encouraged in how he observed Tentmakers function.
Will stated, “Tentmakers Bible Mission is a mission organization that gives structure but with flexibility within that structure. To some missionaries that is very important. That was important to me.”
“TBM also allows for tent making on the field and they will allow varied support levels which can be determined by the missionary and the circumstances of the country in which they serve. Tentmakers takes nothing for administrative fees from the missionaries support. All these things attracted me to become involved with such an agency. Tentmakers has the sense of asking the potential missionary this question, ‘Where is God calling you to minister and plant a church and how can we (Tentmakers) help make that call possible?’ How can you refuse an offer like that?”
