Pastor Franc's Nicaragua Prayer Request
Dear ones,
This has been a great week, one I will not soon forget. I have been stretched by God, used by God and humbled by God. I’ve had the privilege of partnering with faithful men of God from Illinois, Colorado and Nebraska in sharing at this pastors’ conference as well as sharing God’s Word in a couple of churches and translating. As always, I went with the attitude of teaching as well as learning, and I did both.
The need for pastors to be adequately trained in the Word is great and it is urgent. I honestly feel that we just barely scratched the surface of such need. We left the humble pastors with 4 valuable books for the ministry, but then again, the need is so vast that so much more needs to be done in terms of training and in terms of material help. However, the latter is something I can not commit myself to do. The one thing I’ve determined to do is to be in prayer for them, stay in touch as much as I can and share the burden and the vision with others like you.
That is where the Pollo Project comes in. As I find myself back at home, I take the time to give you the last update on my Nicaragua trip. Let me tell you of some very special people.
Felipe is a pastor who lost his right leg and both eyes when he stepped on a land mine several years ago before his conversion to the Lord. His servant-like heart is matchless. This man of God has traveled on horseback for three hours (one way) in order to visit his people. By the way, this trip also includes crossing a river. He is one of four pastors we are burdened about helping with the “Pollo Project”.
Edwin Scott is the Nicaraguan young man who recently graduated from RGBI and along with his wife Samantha coordinated this pastors’ conference.
There were 22 Pastors that were able to attend the Bible institute. Unfortunately, due to lack of funds and resources, some pastors had to be turned down. Please continue to pray for Nicaragua and let me know if you have any questions or would like to participate in the Pollo Project. (info@tentmakersbiblemission.org)
Once again, thank you so very much for your support.
