The Leatherwood Update
For several days we have been saying that we needed to get out an update and well, finally here it is. Life here has been much more tranquil. Lisa is doing well. The doctors decided to continue giving her the basic chemo treatment without the antibody portion, as physically her body responds well to it and she has almost no side effects. This Friday, she has her sixth session, the half-way point through the initial set of chemo. On March 2, she will have a scan to see how everything is going and then on March 9, we will meet with the doctor to get the results. Please continue to pray. We have continued to see how God is in control of all the details. He is good!!!
The kids are all doing well and Avery´s new prayer is that God would make Mommy better “in a flash”. All 3 boys are the work police to make sure that Mommy is not doing too much or doing things that she shouldn´t. They are quick to tell her that she shouldn´t be doing something and then they either report it to me or jump up and take over the job. It is amazing to see how each one of our children helps according to their ability.
We also have been blessed in a great way, by family and friends who have come to stay and help out with the day to day living and moving our kids to and from activities and being able to maintain the kids´schedules on the days that we have had treatments. Thank you doesn´t seem to be enough to say about all the love and encouragement that we have received from so many places. There are people in more than 30 countries praying for Lisa. I am overwhelmed to see how the body of Christ has truly rallied together to support us in this time. Thank you.
