Unrest on the Mexican Border Dear Ones, We trust all is well with you and pray for the Lord’s grace upon you. This is just a quick update to share with you some news from across the border. Our small group in Reynosa is safe for now, but we are quite concerned for their safety. My heart went out to Carmelita, about ten years of age, whose first expression from her mouth last Tuesday was that she has not been able to sleep well because of the many gun shots throughout the day and night. Iliana, a young lady who just a few weeks ago made a decision for Christ, had a terrible experience she will not soon forget. While at her home, she heard firearms being shot and naturally peeked out through the window just in time to see two soldiers gunned down. Just a few weeks before that, she and her husband were dragged out of their car at gunpoint to use it to block off the street as some men moved in to make a killing.
